Puebla

Reporting from Puebla, Mexico.

Before leaving Los Angeles I managed to catch a terrific performance of A Chorus Line, which confirmed my impression that road companies are just as good as the Broadway originals.

In the past few days I´ve climbed to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihucuan and the huge pyramid at Cholula. I´ve met fellow tourists from as far as Haiti to Bulgaria.

Apart from the chaotic traffic, Mexico is fairly laid-back. I love the Aztec sites, the Baroque churches and the gigantic murals. Puebla is a huge city, but has more of a folksy atmosphere than Mexico City, which is quite sophisticated in spite of the obvious poverty and civil unrest.
